Expressive Art & Design Spring Term 1 2020
This term Lime class have been busy exploring a range of different art processes and tools to create different effects. When we were learning about Goldilocks and the 3 bears we made grizzly bear pictures using a fork dipped in paint. During Chinese New Year we created Chinese dragon pictures using dabs of paint. We then folded the paper to make them symmetrical. We also made a smaller Chinese dragon using cupcake cases and tissue paper. Finally, during our 3 little pigs topic we enjoyed using cotton wool balls dipped in paint to make a pig face and we made grey paper plate big bad wolf faces to go with the pigs.
Art - Autumn 2
Lime class have continued to be very creative this term and have explored colour, pattern and mark making using a variety of tools and sensory materials. We used glitter and glue to make firework pictures. We also made leaf outline pictures using paint and sponges using a printing technique. During magic paintbrush week we explored the artist Kadinsky and recreated some of his famous paintings using circles and tissue paper strips. We also enjoyed making Pudsey spot pictures using corks in paint. Finally, we have explored our topic of Christmas by using bubble wrap prints to make Christmas trees and cotton wool to make snowmen pictures.
Art - Autumn 1 2019
Lime Class have been busy exploring our topic of Autumn through different multi sensory art and creative activities. Our focus this term is to make random marks using different media and to complete an art based process independently. We have all been doing really well during our art activities and we have produced little red hen pictures using paint, feathers and glue and our handprints. We have also used natural materials such as broccoli and potatoes to stamp and make tree pictures and spooky orange pumpkins.
