Violet class enjoy guided reading alongside daily story time sessions. Our favourite author is David Walliams. At the moment we are reading Rat Burger. In our literacy sessions we look at a range of different texts including poetry, fiction and non fiction.
On World Book Day we took part in a Story Safari!
Here we are using iPads and dictionaries to define unfamiliar words found in our information text Amazing Aliens.
In the Spring term our topic is Food Glorious Food. We are learning about instructional writing so that we can follow and write recipes. Here we are exploring recipe books.
This group of children are developing their conversational skills whilst taking part in a series of lessons about play scripts. The children learned to turn take, speak from another's point of view and respond to questions.
