Cognition
Our learning targets are individualised based on our children's EHCP targets.
We encourage children to engage in a range of cognition tasks including working 1:1 with an adult, small group tasks and whole class tasks.
The children engage in tasks such as early mathematics, mark making and fine motor activities through the use of workstation and play skills.
During Workstation the children are encouraged to complete tasks as independently as possible working 1:1 with an adult .
We have daily sessions as a whole group through sensory story, Attention Autism and Hello sessions in the morning.
Our play skills sessions allow children to use a variety of toys that focus on different areas, this can be communicating through symbols, developing fine motor and learning to turn take with an adult and/or peers.
