Sensory Cookery

Autumn 1 & 2 - The children will be engaging with at least 1 sensory cookery session a week. Where possible, this will link to the current topic 'Out of this World!'. Copper Class will be making alien face rice cakes, rocket fruit skewers and even tasting what food astronauts eat in space! The children will be working on following simple instructions, retaining attention and using cutting skills to create their finished piece. 

 

Spring 1 & 2 - The children will be engaging with sensory cookery related to our topic 'Food Glorious Food!' where they will have the opportunity to explore food from around the world. They will be making nutella crepes, pizzas, tasting Chinese food and making Indian vegetable spring rolls. 

 

Summer 1 & 2 - The children will be engaging in sensory cookery relating to our topic ‘Festivals and Carnivals’. The children will be food tasting items that you would see and eat at the carnival and we will even be having a carnival party at the end of term!
