Literacy
Jade class enjoy reading and listening to a range of different stories. We do guided reading every week and we love discussing different stories with each other. We take part in daily phonics and reading sessions, but our favourite way to enjoy reading is our afternoon story which we read as a whole class.
During literacy sessions we focus on a range of topics and complete lots of activities surrounding each topic. This year we are going to be learning to write and compose our own poems, letters, emails and love to do role play as well as much more! In Jade class we practise our handwriting each day whether it is on paper or a whiteboard, these fine motor skills are important in all the different subjects we do.
