Attention Autism
Attention Autism in action!
In Copper Class, we build attention and communication skills through 3x weekly attention autism sessions or bucket. It is a lovely session where the children are fully immersed in what is happening. Copper Class are currently accessing Stage 1, 2 and 3.
- Stage 1 - The bucket. This aims to 'grab' the child's attention through a variety of visually stimulating and motivating objects.
- Stage 2 - The attention builder. This aims to have visually stimulating activities with a focus on building sustained attention. These activities are fun, visually engaging and often create lots of mess!
- Stage 3 - The interactive game. This builds on turn taking, modelled by an adult, in which the children are invited to have a turn each, one at a time.
