Orange Class

Welcome to Orange Class!

 

We are a class of 11 fantastic children (9 boys and 2 girls) who love learning new things and enjoy hands-on experiences. Kaya is our class teacher and we have two brilliant teaching assistants called Tracey and Jodie to help and support the pupils with their learning. We will also have David, our HLTA with us each Thursday afternoon.

 

In Orange Class, we follow a Semi-Formal/Early-Formal curriculum and enjoy covering a wide range of subjects such as Literacy, Maths, Science and PSHE. Our focus is to equip pupils with the necessary skills, knowledge, understanding and experiences to become more independent and self-sufficient. Our curriculum is individualised to each of the children's needs and includes a range of group sessions, such as Attention Autism and Sensory Story. These help us to develop our social communication, emotional regulation and engagement.

 

This page will be regularly updated with all the fun and exciting activities we get up to in Orange Class. Our Autumn 1 term topic is ‘Happily ever after’ where we will explore traditional tales, Disney, fairy tales and families.
