Onyx - Pensby

Welcome To Onyx Class!

We are a busy class of 10 boys, and we are following an early formal learning pathway. We enjoy hands on practical activities and some of our favourite things to do in school are Swimming, PE, cooking and play skills. We engage in daily phonics, Literacy and Maths sessions, and we love listening to stories. 

 

Lucy is our class teacher, Helen and Lucy W support and help us in class. 

Autumn term

 

This term our topic is "Out Of This World". We are enjoying learning all about space and planets, and reading stories such as The First Hippo on the Moon, Aliens Love Underpants, the Dinosaur Who Pooped a Planet, Meet the Planets and The Marvellous Moon Map.

Spring term 

 

 

Our topic in the spring term is “Food glorious food”. We will be reading stories such as Supertato, The Enormous Turnip, The Runaway Pea and Ketchup on your Cornflakes. We will be tasting new foods, and practising cooking, baking and following recipes.
